How do I activate my sim?

As a new Pay Monthly O2 customer, your sim is ready to use. Just insert it in your device and you're good to go.

How do I set up my voicemail?

Your voicemail inbox is automatically switched on and is available to all O2 users by dialling 901 on your mobile. If ever it's switched off, you can turn it on by calling 1750 free from your mobile.

My O2 mobile broadband is not working?

If you are having trouble connecting, visit O2's Live Status Checker to see if there are any network problems in your area.

Using your Vodafone account

What's my phone number?

You can find out your own phone number by simply keying *#100# into the device.

How do I set up my voicemail?

Your voicemail inbox is automatically switched on. Just call 121 from your Vodafone mobile to listen to voicemails and record personal greetings.

What's the IMEI number of my device?

Firstly, check your coverage and network status and see what network coverage is available in the immediate area (by postcode), check on schedule maintenance or technical issues.

Next, update your network connection by switching off and restarting your device.

If coverage is normal, there is no maintenance or an issue in your area and restarting your phone hasn’t worked, you can speak to us by giving us a call on 0330 002 2111 or by using Live Chat.

How can I divert all calls to another number on Vodafone?

To activate enter **21* followed by the number you want to divert your calls to – replacing the first 0 with +44 – followed by #. Then press send.

To cancel enter ##21# and press send.

To check the set up enter *#21# and press send.

How can I divert calls only when my phone is busy to another number on Vodafone?

To activate enter **67* followed by the number you want to divert your calls to – replacing the first 0 with +44 – followed by #. Then press send.

To cancel enter ##67# and press send.

To check the set up enter *#67# and press send.

How do I set up my Vodafone Sure Signal?

Once Sure Signal is received please go to Vodafone.co.uk and register for a new account. You will need the sure signal serial number, mobile numbers to register and post code.

Once logged in, enter information as necessary and your user/s will receive a text message to confirm they have been added.

To ensure the Sure Signal communicates with your user/s devices please ensure they are on 2G and 3G only (not on 4G). If you’re not sure how to do this via the settings please contact the support team on 0330 002 2111 or by using Live Chat.

Registration can take up to 24 hours to fully complete. The Sure Signal needs to be plugged into a wall socket and not an extension cable.

How do I set up my voicemail?

To set up voicemail press and hold the number 1 on your mobile and listen to the automated menu.

If dialling into your voicemail from another device, dial 07953222222, hold 1 to retrieve your voicemail menu and press * until you are asked to enter your phone number.

Before travelling abroad, you will also need to set up a pin, to do this press and hold 1 from your mobile to retrieve the voicemail menu and select the option to set up a pin.

Using your Office 365 software

What is Office 365?

Office 365 is a selection of subscription plans that include access to Office applications, plus other productivity services that are enabled over the Internet (cloud services), such as Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online hosted email for business, and additional online storage with OneDrive.

Many Office 365 plans also include the desktop version of the latest Office applications, which you can install across multiple computers and devices.

The Office 365 plans that are online-only are a great choice for certain business needs, and they are compatible with desktop versions of the latest version of Office, Office 2010, Office 2007 (with slightly limited functionality), Office 2011 for Mac, and Office 2008 for Mac.

All Office 365 plans are paid for on a subscription basis, monthly or annually.

Will Office 365 work with my copy of Office?

Office 365 works best with the latest version of Office, Office 2010, and Office 2011 for Mac. Office 365 works with Office 2007 with slightly limited functionality.

If you have an earlier edition of Office, you will need to update to a newer version of Office in order to use Office 365; or you can subscribe to one of the many Office 365 plans that include the latest version of the Office suite.

In addition to getting the latest version of Office as part of your subscription, you will also get automatic updates, so you will always be up to date.

What do I need to install when I sign up for Office 365?

You don't need to install anything in order to use Office 365.

To easily connect your desktop version of Office 2010 and 2007 to Office 365, Microsoft provides Office 365 customers an installable piece of software - called Office desktop setup - at no charge.

You can find and install Office desktop setup in your Office 365 administration centre. If your plan includes a subscription to Office 2013 applications, you will also be able to install that directly from the Office 365 administration centre.

What if an end-user doesn’t have internet or cloud access?

Office 365 is a cloud-based service so you'll need the internet at some point to get full use.

Some services (such as Office on your Desktop) can be used locally when there's no internet and synchronised later when you get connectivity.

Do users have to download all programs and updates on each device or is it all done cloud-based?

It’s a bit of both: Some programs need downloading such as Microsoft Teams. Office 365 products like Word, Excel and PowerPoint can be installed or accessed through a web browser. Updates can be managed centrally by administrators or at a desktop level by Microsoft device management tools. Most download and install automatically. However, your organisation may have policies and infrastructure in place that prevents this from happening.

Office 2013 can only be installed on Windows based PCs/tablets, iPads, Apple MAC laptops and PCs, not other Android tablets. Web Apps can be used on these.

Do I need to back-up my Office 365 files?

The simple answer is yes. Microsoft’s primary focus is on managing the Office 365 infrastructure and maintaining uptime for users. The misconception that Microsoft fully backs up your data on your behalf is quite common but ultimately, you need to ensure you have access to, and control over, your Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online and OneDrive for Business data.

What is Mobile Device Management?

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is an industry term for software designed for administration of mobile devices used for business. It allows companies to provide enhanced end user support, increased security features, and enables rapid dissemination of important information.

What is MaaS360?

Maas360 is an MDM solution from IBM for the administration of mobile devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. It is a cloud-based product that can be downloaded as an App.

What are the benefits of MaaS360 MDM?

After installing MaaS360 MDM on your device you will be able to securely and easily monitor your data usage and receive notifications designed to help prevent you from incurring overage fees. You will also benefit from secure access to updated help and support documents for Mobile Market and vendor support to remotely diagnose and resolve issues with the device or application (such as resetting passwords, removing passcode locks and assisting in locating lost devices).

How do I enrol my device?

You will receive an enrolment request via text or email from MaaS360. You can follow the directions included in the enrolment request.

Is MaaS compatible with all android devices?

Yes, but it does have different functionality on the various operating systems.
